Vibration of a structure can lead to cracking, shaking, potential stability problems and operator discomfort. Vibration analysis consists of analyzing the effects of high-frequency loads applied to a structure, generally through some combination of testing, data analysis, and finite element analysis. Vibration analysis can consist of modal vibration (structure subject to distinct vibration frequencies) and random vibration (structural subject to “all” frequencies at once).
