Timothy Lowery
Mr. Tim Lowery is the Director of Fire and Explosions. His Mechanical Engineering degree is complimented with wide-ranging real-world experience. He has extensive experience in the automotive industry, including nine years of experience as a compliance, diagnostic and test engineer with Volvo Cars of North America and over 21 years of experience as an in-house forensic engineer with Mercedes-Benz, USA. During his time with Mercedes-Benz USA, Mr. Lowery investigated thousands of vehicle fires, collisions, and automotive electrical issues. He has analyzed real-world vehicle performance parameters and participated in root cause analysis investigations. He is also skilled at analyzing and fault tracing vehicle electrical systems. Additionally, Mr. Lowery has the experience and credentials to scientifically investigate structural fires to determine the origin and cause.
Mr. Lowery is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator with his vehicle endorsement, CFI(v). His NAFI certifications include Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI), and Certified Fire Investigator Instructor (CFII).
