Nicole Schimpf
Ms. Nicole Schimpf is a Vice President at Fusion Engineering, LLC and a member of the mechanical engineering team. She is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois. She has formal training in mechanical engineering and mathematics. Ms. Schimpf is experienced in analyzing mechanical design and performance of equipment manufactured for personal, industrial, and commercial applications. Her expertise includes product liability litigation, intellectual property matters, failure analysis, finite element analysis, analysis of strength of materials, evaluation of design intent, evaluation of conformance to standards and federal regulations, and accident investigation and reconstruction. Ms. Schimpf understands methodology for development and execution of scientifically meaningful testing. She has a diverse background of experience ranging from large-scale tank explosions, to analyzing household equipment, evaluating vehicle dynamics, and providing engineering support for multimillion dollar intellectual property litigation matters.
Ms. Schimpf entered the consulting field at Packer Engineering in 2009 after graduating with her master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Prior to joining Packer Engineering, she gained experience in manufacturing environments through internships at John Deere and Proctor & Gamble (Oral-B), where she was responsible for product design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing optimization. She also performed scientific research and analysis as part of her graduate studies. Ms. Schimpf received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from The University of Iowa in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
